We are hiring

Founding Product Manager

Full-time

Dhaka, Bangladesh · Hybrid

About the role

We are looking for a Founding Product Manager to take charge of our product and make it measurably better, every week.

We believe quality is earned through relentless iteration. A primary focus will be to improve our cadence; turn a constant stream of customer feedback into a prioritized set of improvements, ship them quickly, measure whether they worked and go again…quickly.

This is not a roadmap-administration role and it is not a process role. We don't need someone to run ceremonies. We need someone with sharp product instincts and strong ownership who looks at the product, sees a hundred things that could be better, knows which three matter most this week and drives them to done.

You don't need to be an engineer and you won't write code, but you do need to be highly technical, ideally comfortable getting directly into the codebase to find and pull what you need.

CDR is based in the US but its engineering team is fully based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This is a hybrid role, with three days a week in our Dhaka office. You will work closely with the founder and three person engineering team.

What You’ll Do

  • Turn a constant stream of customer feedback into a clear, prioritized set of product improvements, separating real signal from noise.
  • Treat our iteration speed as a product you own. Creatively find faster ways to build via better tooling, automation, sharper workflows, well-placed help, etc.
  • Help define the metrics that tell us whether the product is getting better and move them.
  • Own the quality of the experience. Bring the taste to see what's not good enough and refuse to let any part of the product feel mediocre.
  • Prioritize ruthlessly under real constraints of time and team size.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Experience owning a product, or a meaningful product surface, with a track record of defining metrics and measurably moving them.
  • Demonstrated ability to distill a high volume of customer feedback into a prioritized set of improvements. Strong judgment about what is actionable and what is noise.
  • Genuine UX fluency and strong product taste. You can look at an interface and immediately see what's wrong, and a dozen ways to make it better.
  • Highly technical and fluent with modern AI tools. You won't need to write production code, but you're comfortable getting directly into the codebase if you need questions answered.
  • Experience in early-stage startups working alongside a small engineering team.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a bias toward action, not dependent on process.
  • Exceptional raw ability to grok unfamiliar problems quickly, identify what matters and apply effort where it counts.
  • Strong communicator who takes feedback well and leads without ego.

Great to Have

  • Ability to prototype directly. Mocks, working sketches, or quick functional prototypes.
  • Familiarity with the video game industry or other creative industries.
  • Experience with technical, data-intensive, or AI-native products.
  • Experience building feedback or quality-measurement systems.

How You Operate

  • You drive product improvements end to end with minimal oversight.
  • You have excellent judgment in high-ambiguity situations and can make calls with incomplete information.
  • You have an ownership mindset. You see a problem and you instinctively drive it all the way to resolution.
  • You roll up your sleeves and jump in on any task. In a team this size, no job is too small.

Work Environment & Benefits

  • All government-declared holidays.
  • Flexible leave policy.
  • Hybrid work model. Three days a week in our Dhaka office.
  • Access to cutting-edge tooling and hardware. Whatever you need to do your best work.

What Success Looks Like

  • The product gets measurably better, week over week.
  • Customer feedback reliably and quickly becomes shipped product improvements.
  • The metrics that define product quality move and you can explain exactly how.
  • The whole team works better together because of how you prioritize and operate.

Who We Are

CDR External Development is a California-based startup building the infrastructure for how creative industries resource their most ambitious projects. Our products combine deep industry intelligence with AI-native tooling to transform how studios, publishers, and creators find, evaluate, and collaborate with external partners.

We are a small team moving fast, shipping continuously, and solving hard problems from first principles. There is no bureaucracy here - only ownership, curiosity, and a strong bias toward execution.

If you enjoy building from zero, making impactful technical decisions, and working alongside exceptional people, you'll feel at home here. We're building a world-class engineering organization from the ground up, and every early engineer helps shape the product, the culture, and the team itself.
